Kenny Milord

continued

Incarnation Elementary School followed by Saint Francis Preparatory High School were Kenny Milord’s two fertile educational grounds.  There Kenny became actively involved within the community volunteering his time at any given opportunity.  Whether it was with the Church as an altar boy or volunteering his time as a member of the Haitian-American Club. During these years Kenny also participated in track and field running the 200 meter dash. All of these activities and more allowed Kenny to challenge himself to be the best.  Kenny wanted to be the best because he wanted to be a good lawyer. His relationship with the law was budding and sprouting; every time he passed a law office, Kenny imagined himself working as a lawyer.

Kenny attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey where he earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Economics.  Kenny worked as a Direct Support Professional for the Association for the Help of Retarded Children in Nassau County, where he assisted the clients with their day- to -day life choices, exercise independence and develop responsibilities. In essence he learned what it means to really help people at a very basic level. Kenny brings this knowledge, awareness and sensitivity to the practice of law as he deals with the clients that come through the doors of the firm.

Kenny walked into The Law Office of René Myatt one summer after his first year of law school and found an opportunity of a lifetime. It is a place that went beyond his imagination of what it means to be a good lawyer. After spending a summer at the firm under the tutelage of Ms. Myatt, Kenny saw the importance of transferring to an accredited law school. Kenny transferred to Roger Williams Law School and acquired a newfound passion for the law. While at Roger Williams Law School Kenny joined the Community Justice Clinic and interned at the United States Attorney’s Office.   Kenny also spent a year abroad studying in England the ways of that country’s legal system. Upon graduation from Roger Williams University School of Law, Kenny studied for the New York State Bar Examination and has now become a licensed New York State Attorney at law.  He is now an Associate Attorney at The Law Office of René Myatt where he handles a variety of cases that serve the community.

In his spare time Kenny enjoys playing pool, watching action movies and engaging in kickbacks with family and friends.
