It has been said that in the school of life fools graduate wise men go on learning.
Before her retirement from Verizon as Representative, Team Leader and Training Manager, Loretta Guy moonlighted at The Law Office of René Myatt to begin making a place for herself on the ground floor of the law firm.
Because of her competitive spirit, Loretta wanted to be good. She investigated and enrolled in the very rigorous Paralegal Studies program at Queens College to add to her studies at Adelphi University. She worked during the day and took classes at night. She graduated from the program with American Bar Association approved Paralegal Certification. (read more)

René Myatt has been a practicing attorney for almost
thirty years. She grew up in Brooklyn, New York where she attended Fort Hamilton High School. She attended Boston University on academic scholarship and
participated in the Congressional Internship Program
in Washington, D.C. working for Congressman John
Conyers of Detroit, Michigan.
She also served as treasurer of the Student Union and
a counselor on the student crisis hot line.
She graduated cum laude from Boston University in
1981 and was accepted to Boston University School of
Law and was intrinsically involved in the life of the law

Shirley Payne comes to The Law Office of René Myatt with over forty years of corporate experience covering a wide spectrum of business areas. As a result of that vast experience Shirley does not suffer fools gladly.
Shirley began her corporate position with the now defunct Drexel Burnham Lambert as a data entry clerk. Her impeccable skills allowed her to work her way up the company ladder becoming an Assistant Vice President. She transitioned to Manufacturers Hanover Trust providing computer technology support & guidance in the investment bank division. (read more)

Mr. Etheridge has several years of experience in the fields of commercial lending, luxury retail, and real estate. He began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank, subsequently working as an analyst in the Chase Middle Market Banking Group. He is a former Associate Investment Officer for the Business Investments Group at the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone “UMEZ”, where he managed the Restaurant Initiative; a $3 million investment fund created to provide low interest financing as well as marketing and technical support to restaurants located in Upper Manhattan. Derek Etheridge has been a member of the New York State Bar for nearly a decade. Upon his graduation from Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC, Derek worked as a Senior Associate at Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP, in midtown Manhattan where he participated in the representation of several high profile clients in several practice areas, the largest of which by volume of business were financial transactions, real estate, litigation, and bankruptcy. The firm served approximately 8,000 domestic and foreign clients, including banks and finance companies, insurance companies, manufacturers, non-profit entities, and government sponsored enterprises.
