Derek Etheridge has been a member of the New York State Bar for nearly a decade. Upon his graduation from Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC, Derek worked as a Senior Associate at Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP, in midtown Manhattan where he participated in the representation of several high profile clients in several practice areas, the largest of which by volume of business were financial transactions, real estate, litigation, and bankruptcy. The firm served approximately 8,000 domestic and foreign clients, including banks and finance companies, insurance companies, manufacturers, non-profit entities, and government sponsored enterprises.

 

Since departing Windels Marx in 2011, Derek has consulted for institutional investors and Fortune 500 companies. In addition, Derek has contracted his talents to The Law Office of René Myatt. He has represented the MyattLegal team’s clients in a myriad of legal matters both civil and criminal.

 

Derek is the father of two boys, Chase and Bryce, who occupy the majority of his time when he's not working. He is husband to Dr. Yakini Etheridge, the beautiful creator of the internationally renowned website RealityTVFashion.com, where they are joint collaborators.
